Director corporate tax
Norske Skog is a world leading producer of newsprint and magazine paper, with 14 paper mills around the world. Our business units and sales network confer a unique position. Local presence and knowledge combined with Norske Skog's global strength distinguish it from other paper companies. The world market for newsprint and magazine paper is about 60 million tonnes, and the group has about 10 per cent and five per cent of these segments respectively. The groups operating revenue in 2008 was approximately NOK 26,5 billion. To our headquarter we are now recruiting for a challenging position, which will operate in a very dynamic environment.
Job Description:
- Simplify company structure from a tax-, legal- and business perspective
- Establish tax-effective structures for the group which facilitate effective repatriation of cash
- Support management on tax effects of mergers, acquisitions, capital expenditure and divestments
- Lead legal (company) ownership structure of the group for tax purposes
- Participate in tax reviews and audits
- Lead the corporate tax team and co-ordinate group-wide tax initiatives
- Administrate corporate tax advisors
- Coach / educate – support the organization in understanding tax implications of decisions
Experience:
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of corporate tax experience
- An understanding of and experience in working with various tax systems and interpretation of tax treaties
- Experience from transactions
Age:
- From 35 years
Education:
- Law or Finance graduate with professional qualifications from a university or similar institution
