Environment
"My job is to supervise welding work in external companies in the field of Pulps/Power/Fluids. A lot of what we do includes piping work. Even there, we must be careful of the environment. When we carry out a dismantling job and the materials are to be thrown away, we place each of them in specific skips: steel (mainly stainless steel), insulation cladding (glass wool, rock wool), and, oily waste (for example, clothes). Welders use acids. We are very careful, as we are about fumes or the products that are inside the piping at the time of drainage. We know that we cannot send everything into the mill’s water treatment plant, and that some products must be recovered and especially not discharged into the gutters. I enjoy fishing and I know about the consequences of water pollution."
