The mission of nsiFOCUS is to gainfully contribute to sustainable profitability of Norske Skog and other customers through performance oriented technical and continuous improvement services.
The services of nsiFOCUS are technical development assignments, advanced trouble-shooting and continuous improvement progams including change management. One of the reasons for forming nsiFOCUS was to create a new business opportunity for Norske Skog, selling these services externally.
nsiFOCUS has these primary functions and responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical support and services internal and external to Norske Skog
- Help nsiFocus customers to generate cash, create a continuous improvement culture, share good and best practice in a systematic may and to build capabilities
- Knowledge management: Map, procure, maintain, disseminate and share technical knowledge essential to Norske Skog’s operations through Share Point and knowledge networks
- Manage Norske Skog’s interests in activities carried out at External Research Providers on behalf of the group at large.
nsiFOCUS contributes to improved competitiveness and profitability in the Business Units (BU) through technical support and market oriented research and development. The main focus is on cost reduction, energy savings and improved paper quality. The company seeks to develop and maintain advanced knowhow, transfer project results to the BU’s through SharePoint and to co-ordinate effective knowledge networks.
