Norske Skog: Two new mill managers

Norske Skog, the second biggest supplier of publication paper, has appointed two new mill managers respectively at Norske Skog Follum, Norway and Norske Skog Parenco, Holland.

Wenche Ravlo (39) has been appointed as the new mill manager at Norske Skog Follum at Hønefoss north of Oslo. She is presently technical customer service manager at Norske Skog Skogn in mid-Norway.
 
With a Master of Science degree in engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Ms Ravlo served earlier as a researcher and adviser at Møreforsking in Ålesund and as a project manager and company adviser at Noteko.
 
She joined Norske Skog in 1999 and has held several executive positions at the Norwegian-based paper manufacturer, including environmental manager, development manager and customer and logistics manager.
Mill manager Per Ivar Berg (41), Norske Skog Follum is appointed new mill manager at Norske Skog Parenco. He will succeed Svein Aurstad following the expiration of his assignment contract with Parenco.
 
Mr Berg who holds a Master of Science degree, has worked with Norske Skog Saugbrugs in different positions since 1997. In 2002 he was appointed mill manager at Follum.
Svein Aurstad (55) has worked in several positions in Norske Skog since 1976. After 7 years as mill manger at Skogn he has worked as integration manager in Norske Canada and Norske Skog Europe until he was appointed mill manager Norske Skog Parenco in January 2002. Mr Aurstad will take up a central management position within Production Europe.
