08 Nov 2005 ACCC approves PanAsia acquisition The Australian Commerce and Consumer Commission (ACCC) today gave unconditional approval of Norske Skog's acquisition of the remaining 50% of the shares in Pan Asia Paper Company from Abitibi-Consolidated. The deal is expected to close on November 18, at which time the transfer of funds will also take place. PanAsia will be fully consolidated into Norske Skog financial accounts as of November 18.
