01 Jul 2011 New vice president investor relations
Tom Rogn (36) has been named vice president investor relations at Norske Skog. Rogn's first day in his new position will be 1 October. Rogn joins Norske Skog from a position as an equity analyst with Fondsfinans. In addition he has background from Morgan Stanley in London, from eZ Systems, where he was chief financial officer, as well as experience as an independent consultant. Rogn holds a Master of Science in Business from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. "Rogn's broad background ensures that we will maintain and extend Norske Skog's strong relations with the different parts of the financial markets. The recruitment reflects the fact that this has top priority at Norske Skog and from me," says CEO Sven Ombudstvedt. This spring it was announced that Jarle Langfjæran was to leave the position of vice president investor relations, a responsibility he has had since the position was created in 1993. Frode Tegnér currently acts as the contact for the financial markets. He will continue to do so until Rogn assumes his position, and Tegnér will also in the future be involved with the IR function.
