Norske Skog Golbey started its newsprint production (PM1) in 1992 on a greenfield site. In 1999 a second production line (PM2) was started. The PM1 has been converted from newsprint to recycled containerboard, and started production in 2025.
This will make Norske Skog Golbey a top competitive mill with a total production capacity of approximately 330 000 tonnes newsprint and 550 000 tonnes containerboard. The mill is strategically located in the Vosges area, within easy reach of major European cities. The mill produces only recycled papiers from recovered papers and OCC.
